Turns out it's just ONE egg. When it says "single pack" and shows a picture of six eggs, I thought it meant a single package of 6 eggs. Shows what I know. He enjoyed looking for the egg as the little voice encouraged him "I'm over here!". However, it got old pretty quick. He will still play with it on occasion but not as a hide and seek toy. Now he is more fascinated about trying to take it apart to find out where the voice is coming from! My son's speech therapist loved the toy and bought some for her practice. She said she would use it with her autistic children to encourage interaction. I purchased this toy to enjoy with our grandchildren (ages 1 year through 6 years). I, too, thought we were getting a single package of six eggs. It was somewhat disappointing when a "single" egg arrived. However, my real issue with this toy came upon reading the toy's merchandise tag. It states that the included battery is non-replaceable. I take that to mean that once the battery expires, the sound component no longer functions diminishing the toy's enjoyment. I am very dissatified that this key detail was not explained in the toy's description. I would probably not have ordered this cute egg had I known this. |
