It's sad how people take advantage of others. The company charges $14 for this pin if you buy it at a store like Hot Topic or even Borders book store but here on Amazon they have been marked up to this rediculous amount. I know the sellers need to make money and the stores sell out fast so us fans are stuck paying the price, which I did pay. Now here's what you get for your money. A cheaply made pin with a closure that doesn't stay closed. I have worn and almost lost this pin several times because it comes open and almost slipped off of my shirt. I have to admit that the pin itself is a great representation of the cover are except that it is so tarnished looking it looks like it was found in the mines of District 12 and not the vibrant gold of Mages gift to Katniss. It looked nice, but I took it out of the packaging and went to affix it to my shirt and the portion that clasps the pin in the back broke entirely off the pin, so now there is no possible way to attach it. The pin is now completely useless! This was all about 1 minute after it came out of the package. Good thing I was just trying my costume on, because now I have to go find something to weld the pin back together to wear it on Saturday! And, yeah, the price is ridiculously high for something that isn't *that* nice. Worth buying for the die-hard fans, but try eBay instead of Amazon. |
