I got this furry, mechanical toy rabbit for my younger sister, who already owns two live rabbits. She got excited when I gave the realistic Cuddle Bunny to her, and appeared to love it. Just a few minutes after I gave it to her, she began exclaiming, "Listen," do you hear that?" I heard these tiny, cute, chirping sounds coming from the toy bunny. Every year we hear of children getting live animals for Easter, most often furry little bunnies. However within a week or two after the infatuation has worn off, mom or dad are left to feed and care for the sweet little things. More often than not they find out bunnies are not as playful as the child would like and our animal shelters become inundated with bunnies before summer.But, never fear, there is a solution!! The Fur Real Hop `n Cuddle Bunny!! The bunny joins other popular Fur Real animals just in time to be the perfect gift for the child in your life who is begging for a rabbit for Easter. This little bunny, I dare say, is better than the real thing. It hops, makes several little bunny sounds, and goes around in a circle to hop back to the one playing with it. My only problem is, with granddaughters aged 9, 4, and 1, I may have to have more than one at hand. They are all going to want to play with this little sweetheart at once. What better way to test a toy than to give it to a child? So, thinking this, I gave it to my four year old niece as a gift for Easter. Even she grew bored and tired of it's antics in a short time. Her first question was "what does he eat?" and it reminded me of the toys back in my day. A simple magnet in the nose of the bunny with a plastic carrot and matching magnet in it would have made this toy better for my niece. However, I cannot discount the toy as a total failure. When she wanted to hurt her brothers, it made for a pretty good thumper and still worked afterwards. -.- Not a bad toy but I would only recommend it for children who are very much into animals or perhaps a toddler who would love to sit and watch it hop for hours. |
